Schedule: Email Services



This Schedule will apply if the Customer purchases Email Services from UKU Connect via the UKU Connect Website.

1. Definitions and interpretation

1.1 In this Schedule, "Email Services" means SMTP, POP, IMAP and/or webmail email services provided to the Customer, including email transmission and/or storage services.

1.2 References in this Schedule to Paragraphs are to the paragraphs of this Schedule, unless otherwise stated.

2. Email Services

2.1 Subject to payment of any applicable Charges set out on the UKU Connect Website or otherwise agreed between the parties, UKU Connect will upon request provide Email Services to the Customer.

2.2 The Email Services will conform to the Service Description from time to time.

2.3 Unless UKU Connect supplies or agrees to supply email client software to the Customer, the Customer shall be responsible for obtaining and licensing any email client software which may be required for the full use of the Email Services.

2.4 If an email account is not accessed at least once every 4 weeks UKU Connect Limited may disable the receiving / sending of email. 


3. Resource limitations

If the Customer or a mailbox exceeds the relevant storage limit notified by UKU Connect to the Customer from time to time, UKU Connect may:

(a) block the receipt of additional emails;

(b) apply excess use Charges in respect of the additional emails; and/or

(c) delete stored emails to bring the Customer or mailbox within the storage limit.

4. Back-ups

Whilst our email services are hosted on high availability disk arrays UKU Connect will as part of disaster recovery take daily backups with a maximum retention of 10 days. Should a customer require the restoration of emails UKU Connect cannot guarantee it will be able to facilitate such a request.


5. Spam

Without prejudice to Clause 4, the Customer must not use the Email Services to send unsolicited, bulk or indiscriminate email messages.

6. Charges for Email Services

6.1 The Customer must pay to UKU Connect Charges in respect of the Email Services as specified on the UKU Connect Website (if any).

6.2 UKU Connect will issue invoices to the Customer for such Charges in accordance with the Term purchased and such invoices shall be payable in advance of the provision of the Services to which they relate.

7. Email Sending Limits

In order to safeguard you and our services we impose limits. 

1 minute: limited to 50 emails
10 minute period: 50 emails
24 hr period: 1000 emails
Standard Max email attachment: We limit  emails with attachements to  10Mb (15Mb including encoding).
Sending large attachemnts: You can make use of the file storage included with your services and embed a link in the email for the sender to download the attachement.  

Multiple recipients:
 Limited to 50. Please beaware that sending an email with multiple recipients can affect your email reputation/sender score. It is always better to send individual emails.

If you exceed any limits further emails within the given period maybe delayed or rejected. Our systems may also reject all emails being sent from your IP address.
